Ford Figo is a hit with Indian dealers, so much so that, the car is set to roll out commercially starting February 05 from Ford’s Chennai plant. Ford India has its manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur near Chennai where it currently manufactures Ford Ikon, Fiesta and Endeavour. The Ford Figo will be manufactured completely in India and will share its technology with Ford Fiesta. It will be exported overseas mainly to markets in Asia-Pacific and African regions.
Kishore Singh Gehlot, owner of four KS Ford dealerships said “The new Figo simply isn’t a
small car. The Ford Figo looks impressive on the outside and it is very athletic and modern. Inside it is very elegant. Seat comfort was very good and with items like Bluetooth, interior storage power mirrors, the entire package simply offers more than customers have ever seen in a small car”.
The all new Ford Figo will be available at dealerships from March and will be priced between Rs. 3.5 lakh to Rs. 4.5 lakh. It will compete with small cars from leading manufacturers like Toyota, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Tata Motors, Fiat, Volkswagen, Nissan and Honda. Ford Figo will be available in 7 different colors of which 3 will be regular colors while the other four will be more dazzling and effervescent.
